Optical breast imaging firm DOBI Medical International of Mahwah, NJ, reported fiscal 2005 first-quarter (end-March 31) revenues of $62,000, compared with no revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2004.
For the period, the company logged a net loss of $2.2 million, nearly doubling its net loss of $1.3 million for the same quarter a year ago.
The firm said that the growth in net loss relates largely to costs incurred in the development of its ComfortScan system, initiation of clinical testing associated with its Food and Drug Administration premarket approval (PMA) application, and expansion of its international distributor network.
