GE Healthcare reported second-quarter revenues of $3.77 billion, up 12% compared with the $3.37 billion posted in the second quarter of 2004. For the period (end-June 30), the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K-based vendor contributed profit of $672 million, compared with a profit of $584 million last year.
In quarterly highlights, GE said total orders climbed 11% to reach $3.9 billion. Equipment orders rose 16% to hit $2.5 billion, including $400 million in CT orders. CT sales were driven by the company's LightSpeed Volume CT scanner, GE said.
