Video-capsule manufacturer Given Imaging reported sales for its 2005 fiscal second quarter (end-June 30) of $20.5 million (U.S.), representing a 33% increase compared with the $15.5 million booked in the same period of 2004.
The Yoqneam, Israel-based firm posted net loss for the quarter of $364,000, down from net income of $900,000 in the second quarter of 2004.
The company attributed the loss to $1.2 million paid in taxes related to its U.S. subsidiary, and to an adjustment of $600,000 in a valuation allowance for U.S. income tax benefits available in future periods.
