Philips Healthcare reportedly will announce plans next week to expand its North American operations at its headquarters in Andover, MA.
The Andover Townsman cited an Andover town official, who said Philips unveiled its plans at the July 14 meeting of the board of selectmen. A press conference is planned for July 22 at Philips' Andover location.
Philips declined to comment on the report, other than to say an event is scheduled for Andover on July 22.
The newspaper also quoted Joe Bevilacqua, president and CEO of the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce, as saying Philips' announcement may be "monumental," with local, regional, and statewide implications.
