Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems has received China State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) clearance for its Unique medical linear accelerator.
A low-energy (6-MV) radiotherapy system, Unique can deliver intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and provide image guidance, beam shaping, and RapidArc treatments, according to the vendor. The clearance also includes the latest release of Varian's Eclipse treatment planning software.
