Philips Healthcare announced it has launched its Transformation Services business unit.
In collaboration with healthcare service providers, the new global business unit will offer consulting services aimed at improving the operational and financial performance of hospitals and health systems, as well as improving patient outcomes across the continuum of care, according to the vendor.
The business unites Philips' existing portfolio of services in consulting, education, design, and other areas, the company said. Philips Healthcare Transformation Services will focus on five areas:
- Operational performance improvement for healthcare systems, including hospitals
- Management of high-cost patient populations, for example, in cardiology and oncology
- Business-model offerings such as managed equipment services
- Improvement of patient experience and staff productivity through the design and implementation of ambient healing environments
- Enhanced training and education services
Philips said the new business unit will target markets where the company has a strong base in consulting services, forming the basis for further expansion.
