Coronary imaging developer Infraredx is highlighting findings published in JACC Cardiovascular Interventions that show its True Vessel Characterization (TVC) imaging system can detect lipid core plaque in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.
Using the TVC device, lead author Dr. Ryan Madder, of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI, and colleagues discovered a near-infrared spectroscopic signature of the plaques that cause myocardial infarction (J Am Coll Cardiol Intv, July 17, 2013), Infraredx said.
