Real Time Imaging Technologies has secured a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that covers the company's methods to incorporate microlenses into x-ray detectors.
Patent No. 10,898,070 applies to the firm's ability to reduce radiation dose without decreasing image resolution by using the microlens to collect low-radiation light that otherwise falls on areas of the detector that are not sensitive to it, thus increasing the detector's fill factor, Real Time Imaging said.
