Dr. Linda Moy has been named editor of Radiology, the RSNA's flagship medical journal. She is the first woman to be appointed to the journal's top spot and will take up her duties in January 2023.
Moy is a national and international leader in breast imaging, MRI and artificial intelligence (AI). She is a professor of radiology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and director of breast MRI (clinical and research) throughout the NYU Health Network.
"My goals are to ensure that Radiology remains the most-trusted, authoritative, global health journal that publishes impactful research to improve human health," she said in a statement released by the RSNA.
Previously, Moy served as the journal's deputy editor for breast imaging, and she was appointed senior deputy editor in 2019. She will succeed Dr. David Bluemke, PhD, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bluemke has served as editor of Radiology since 2018 and will retire at the end of 2022.
