Mayo Clinic and GE HealthCare have entered a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing medical imaging and theranostics.
Under the agreement, the collaboration will initially focus on four core areas, Mayo said:
- Accelerating the development and clinical translation of advanced MRI technologies with AI-enabled exams, from order to report.
- Precise imaging and dosimetry of highly targeted theranostic agents and more efficient radioisotope production.
- Making diagnostic and interventional ultrasound easier and faster to use and read by advancing automation and quantification.
- Leveraging multimodal data, AI, and digital health platforms to streamline clinical operations and support more personalized diagnosis and therapy.
The collaboration will bring together research teams spanning multiple radiological disciplines, with activities and research to take place at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, Minnesota, Mayo said.
