Apollo Radiology International (ARI), an India-based unit of the specialized radiology venture Apollo Group in Asia, has acquired the radiology reporting wing of InHealth Group in the U.K.
ARI said the acquisition addresses the shortage of radiologists worldwide and strengthens its teleradiology footprint globally, adding that it projects to report over 2 million scans annually covering 24 countries for more than 200 healthcare organizations.
InHealth provides radiology reporting to the U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) and reportedly conducts tests, scans, and examinations for over 4 million patients across more than 800 locations throughout the U.K.
Together, the companies aim to extend reporting services across a wider network of NHS partners in the U.K., according to a November 18 statement from ARI.
The firm TT&A reported that the transaction was structured as a cross-border share swap.
