Eastman Kodak Health Group reported that its new Color Medical Imager 1000 is now available for ordering worldwide.
The system prints diagnostic color images for nuclear medicine, ultrasound, 3D imaging, and other digital medical imaging systems. It is a networked, desktop digital imager that includes integrated DICOM capabilities, supports 13 languages, and features a touch-screen interface.
Each image is generated in less than 75 seconds using thermal dye-sublimation technology, Kodak said. The device prints full-color images and reports onto the firm's Color Medical Imager Paper, which provides a laminate overcoat that resists fingerprints, water, and fading, according to Rochester, NY-based Kodak.
Color Medical Imager 1000 supports letter- and A4-sized paper, and can be installed by customers or by Kodak service personnel.
