Display provider Eizo Nanao Technologies has added two new monitors to its RadiForce line of medical imaging displays: the 3-megapixel monochrome RadiForce G33 and the 3-megapixel color RadiForce R31. Both utilize LCD technology and are compatible with the RadiCS and RadiNet Pro quality control software, the Cypress, CA-based company said.
RadiForce G33 can be used with PACS, chest radiology, CT, MRI, and angiography applications. It features a 13-bit lookup table that produces a palette of 8,161 grayscale tones from which 4.096 (12 bits) can be displayed simultaneously, and includes aperture modulation technology that allows different area ratio for each subpixel for clearer contrast. The model also features a lifetime expectancy analyzer (LEA) function, which estimates the backlight lifetime, as well as a digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) function for optimum uniformity of the backlight's luminance. The company plans to begin shipping RadiForce G33 worldwide in August.
RadiForce R31 is designed for CT, MRI, PET, and 3D-rendering applications. Each color is supported with 10-bit color input compatibility, displaying up to 1,064,330,000 colors at once and providing clear images for 3D and image-fusion rendering. Image rotation technology enables easy switching between landscape and portrait modes. In addition to all of the features in the RadiForce 2-megapixel color monitor R22, the R31 has an independent image setting (IIS) feature, which allows any particular area of an image to be adjusted and preset to various grayscale and luminance levels, as well as the LEA function, according to the firm. Eizo expects to ship R31 worldwide in July.
