The Education and Research Foundation of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists has announced several new programs aimed at building the future workforce of radiologic technologists, including the funding of a recruitment video to introduce high school students to careers in radiologic technology.
The board also approved the establishment of a minority scholarship fund, a survey of radiologic technologists and department administrators to improve understanding of the work environment, and development of a Research Center for Excellence in the Radiologic Sciences. The latter will serve as an information clearinghouse for RTs, and will encourage them to perform original research.
