United Imaging has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its interventional x-ray system.
In a statement, United Imaging said that the uAngio Aviva is an eight-axis, ceiling-mounted robotic system that uses the company’s uVERA IQ intelligent imaging technology with proprietary algorithms to obtain high-quality images at low dose.
The uAngio Aviva features a voice-assist system and is designed for hands-free image review and movement assistance for interventional radiology, neurological interventions, and interventional cardiology procedures.
The company noted that the uAngio Aviva will be available to explore soon at the company's headquarters in Houston, TX.
