Given gets FDA OK for real-time device

Video-capsule developer Given Imaging of Yoqneam, Israel, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration marketing clearance for its Rapid Access RT product.

The handheld device enables real-time viewing during a PillCam endoscopy procedure utilizing the firm's Rapid Access software that is installed on the device, the company said.
