Physician and healthcare administrative staffing organization TeamHealth of Knoxville, TN, has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by the Blackstone Group, a global private equity firm.
TeamHealth's current management team will continue to lead the healthcare outsourcing organization and will remain significant equity holders, according to TeamHealth. Further terms of the purchase have not been disclosed.
The company said the transaction is expected to be completed by mid-February 2006.
