A New York federal judged has denied an appeal from CareCore National to throw out a $34 million verdict in an antitrust suit, according to a court document.
On September 28, U.S. District Court Judge Leonard Wexler of the Eastern District of New York denied CareCore's motion for permanent injunction against the verdict, as well as the company's request for a new trial.
A jury awarded the plaintiffs more than $11 million in damages, which are to be trebled by law, according to a statement by the plaintiffs' law firm Constantine Cannon.
