The American College of Radiology (ACR) Board of Chancellors has elected several new physicians to serve in its top positions.
The board elected Dr. Paul Ellenbogen as its new chair to serve from April 2012 to April 2013. Ellenbogen is a senior attending radiologist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and a partner in Radiology Associates of North Texas. He also serves as a clinical professor of radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
The ACR also elected the following individuals:
- Dr. Bibb Allen Jr. was elected to serve as vice chair from April 2012 to April 2013. Allen is the former chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Economics. He is a diagnostic radiologist in the Birmingham Radiological Group in Birmingham, AL.
- Dr. John Patti was elected to serve as ACR president. Patti is the immediate past chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors. He is a thoracic radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and serves as faculty at Harvard Medical School.
- Dr. Paul A. Larson was elected as ACR vice president. Larson is in private practice as a general radiologist in Oshkosh, WI. He is a member of the ACR Board of Chancellors, Executive Committee, and Budget and Finance Committee.
