Dr. Abraham Verghese, senior associate chair at Stanford University School of Medicine, will deliver the August 6 keynote address at the American College of Radiology's (ACR) Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) summit.
Verghese is known for his New York Times articles "Treat the Patient, Not the CT Scan" and "Restoring the Lost Art of the Physical Exam," as well as his novel, Cutting for Stone. He has been elected to the Institute of Medicine of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and was the 2014 recipient of the Heinz Award for Arts and Humanities.
RLI's summit will be held at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, from August 6-9.
