AHRA and Toshiba America Medical Systems have launched the eighth year of their Putting Patient First grant program.
Funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Toshiba, the program provides grants to healthcare facilities for programs, training, or seminars aimed at improving patient care and safety, as well as customizing treatment in CT, MR, ultrasound, x-ray, and vascular imaging, according to AHRA and Toshiba. Six grants of up to $7,500 each will be provided to hospitals and imaging centers, with an additional grant of up to $20,000 awarded to an integrated delivery network (IDN).
Three of the $7,500 grants will be dispensed for projects that improve pediatric imaging, while the other three will be awarded for projects that improve overall patient care and imaging safety. The grant of up to $20,000 will be provided to an IDN or hospital system for projects that improve overall patient care and safety in imaging across the IDN/hospital system, AHRA and Toshiba said. All of the awardees will then develop and share their best practices.
Applications can be filed on AHRA's website or Toshiba's website until October 13. The winners will be selected by AHRA and announced at RSNA's annual meeting in December.
