The American College of Radiology (ACR) has launched the Radiology Support, Communication, and Alignment Network (R-SCAN), a new website to support healthcare providers in transitioning to value-based payment models.
The website offers radiologists resources to connect with referring clinicians, learn about imaging appropriateness, explore clinical decision support, and document their practice's improvements over time.
Radiology participants who sign up for R-SCAN with their referring providers will gain access to resources that help them improve the ordering of imaging exams based on Choosing Wisely recommendations, as well as access to a customized version of the ACR Select clinical decision-support tool, ACR said.
ACR plans to hold an introductory webinar for R-SCAN on December 16. The project is supported by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative.
