Canon Medical Systems USA and the AHRA are adding two new grant opportunities to their annual Putting Patients First grant program.
Now in its 11th year, the Putting Patients First program will dole out six grants of up to $7,500 each to hospitals and imaging centers, as well as two grants of up to $10,000 each to an integrated delivery network (IDN) and an imaging cybersecurity program, respectively. Of the $7,500 grants, two will be awarded for projects that improve pediatric imaging and two will focus on overall diagnostic imaging. In addition, two will be presented for a new category that targets oncology imaging, according to Canon.
One $10,000 grant will be provided to an IDN or hospital system for projects that improve overall patient care and safety in imaging, while the second grant will be awarded in a new category for a facility that develops and strengthens an imaging cybersecurity program, Canon said.
Grant applications are available on the AHRA's website and must be submitted by October 22. The organization will select and announce the winners by January 2019.
