More than 400 members of the American College of Radiology (ACR) will visit their elected government representatives May 22 on the college's Capitol Hill Advocacy Day at its 2019 annual meeting.
ACR representatives will share the college's position on the following legislative issues:
- Surprise billing for patients and its effect on the radiologist-patient relationship
- Patient Access to Lifesaving Screenings (PALS) Act
- Resident Education Deferred Interest (REDI) Act
- Medicare Access to Radiology Care Act (MARCA)
Members can view summaries and documents regarding the college's educational efforts for legislators via the Radiology Advocacy Network app, the ACR said.
