The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) named Lawrence Wald, PhD, as its new president at the conclusion of its annual meeting this month in Montreal.
Lawrence Wald, PhD.Wald, who is a professor of radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital's Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Charlestown, will serve as the society's president for the 2019-2020 term.
Wald succeeds Dr. Pia Sundgren, PhD, of Lund University in Sweden, who served as ISMRM president for the 2018-2019 term, including the society's recent meeting in Montreal, Canada.
