Longtime American Board of Radiology (ABR) Executive Director Dr. Valerie Jackson said she will retire by July 1, 2020.
Jackson, who took over as executive director in July 2014, is also a fellow of the ACR and has received the gold medals of the Indiana Radiological Society, the Society of Breast Imaging, the American College of Radiology, and the Association of University Radiologists. In October 2018, she was also named president of the RSNA.
"I have been honored to be the ABR executive director and fortunate to work with such amazing people," Jackson said in a statement. She will remain in Tucson, AZ, after her retirement.
