The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) has appointed a new president to lead it into its milestone 50th anniversary in 2025.
Ted Abraham, MD, started his term on July 1. He is a cardiologist and a Meyer Friedman Distinguished Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also serves as the institution’s Adult Cardiac Echocardiography Laboratory director and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence co-director. He has held previous appointments at Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University.
ASE also elected 11 new board members for the new term.
