AdvaMed issues 2024 annual report

The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) made major gains in membership last year and now represents more than 600 companies across the medical technology spectrum, according to the association’s 2024 annual report.

“With the full integration of our new Medical Imaging Division, established in 2023, as well as the full establishment of our Digital Health Tech Division, AdvaMed now represents the entire medtech industry,” noted Scott Whitaker, the association's president and chief executive officer, in the report.

Based in Washington, DC, AdvaMed is the world’s largest trade organization representing medical technology companies, with member companies operating in all 50 states in the U.S. and around the world. Since 2017, the association’s revenue has grown from $36 million to $54 million, according to the report.

The 34-page report highlights AdvaMed’s successes in 2024, such as receiving accreditation from the American National Standards Institute and making inroads in Congress to establish Medicare coverage and reimbursement policies for AI medical devices.
