Toshiba America Medical Systems announced it has named a new vice president and general counsel.
Nader Rad will be responsible for the company's legal and regulatory affairs, as well as its interactions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the medical industry's primary trade associations for legal and regulatory issues.
Rad joined Toshiba in 1990 as associate general counsel, and since then has served as deputy general counsel and general counsel. He has a background in negotiating and drafting contracts and providing counsel on employment, antitrust, and other regulatory issues, as well as litigation management and legal training, according to Toshiba.
