Eastman Kodak Health Group has signed a three-year worldwide service-provider agreement with 3G Ultrasound of Ramsey, NJ.
The Rochester, NY-based firm will be the exclusive worldwide service provider for 3G's Sonalis ultrasound unit used in surgical procedures, according to the vendor.
The product uses proprietary SimulView technology for targeting of needle placement in any type of therapeutic delivery in tumors via ultrasound imaging. The system will be available in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2005, with European availability planned for early 2006, Kodak said.
Kodak will provide all postsale support for 3G Ultrasound's Sonalis equipment, including telephone customer technical support, field installation, and onsite equipment repair and maintenance.
