Unisyn Medical Technologies announced it has changed its name to Consensys Imaging Service.
The move follows GE Healthcare's purchase of the company's ultrasound probe repair, multimodality parts, and proprietary test equipment businesses, according to Unisyn.
Consensys' corporate headquarters will be the company's existing service facility in Cary, IL. Aside from the new name and change in corporate headquarters location, the field service business offerings and operations remain unchanged, Unisyn said.
Jim Spearman, formerly Unisyn's vice president of service operations, has been named president of Consensys. Unisyn CEO Jeff Soinski will transition from his management position and continue to serve as a member of Consensys' board of directors, according to the firm.
