Richardson Electronics has tapped imaging industry veteran Pat Fitzgerald as executive vice president and general manager of Richardson Healthcare, a newly formed strategic business unit focusing on diagnostic imaging equipment replacement parts.
Fitzgerald most recently served as president of Dunlee, a Philips Healthcare division responsible for researching, designing, and manufacturing replacement tubes for CT, vascular imaging, and general radiography. He has also worked for Trex Medical, Continental X-Ray, and Eureka X-Ray Tube.
In his new post, Fitzgerald will oversee the strategic direction of Richardson Healthcare, which will provide new and refurbished CT tubes, flat-panel detectors, and other related products and services such as MRI system amplifier repair, the company said. In addition, he will assume responsibility for the medical display products currently offered under the North American healthcare segment of Canvys, a sister division of Richardson Electronics.
