Toshiba America Medical Systems plans to launch a new interventional radiology room in its Infinix-i family that features what the company calls a double-sliding C-arm at the upcoming RSNA 2016 meeting in Chicago.
Infinix-i Sky+ is a new ceiling-mounted angiography system with a double-sliding C-arm that gives it new flexibility in positioning, according to the company. It features 210° of anatomical coverage on both sides of the patient, as well as high-speed 3D rotation of 80° per second.
Infinix-i Sky+ also includes automated and user-selectable tools for radiation dose management that are designed to minimize x-ray exposure to patients and clinicians.
Toshiba also plans to give RSNA 2016 attendees their first look at a number of other products that have been introduced over the course of the year, including the Aquilion Lightning CT scanner, Vantage Titan/cS Edition MR scanner (pending 510(k) clearance), Celesteion PET/CT scanner, and Aplio 500 Platinum and Aplio 300 Platinum ultrasound scanners.
