Neuroradiologist Dr. Leo Wolansky has been appointed chair of the department of diagnostic imaging and therapeutics at UConn Health, based in Farmington, CT.
Wolansky is well-known for his neuroimaging research in multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, and MRI contrast agents; he recently published a study on the use of computer-assisted diagnosis to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, according to the University of Connecticut.
In his new post, Wolansky will oversee all patient imaging services provided at UConn Health and will serve as its clinical neuroradiology subspecialist. He previously served as a professor of radiology at Case Western Reserve University, where he led research in the use of PET/MRI.
