(Booth 912) Analogic of Peabody, MA, will highlight PowerLink, a new brushless power transfer system for CT OEMs to incorporate into their scanners.

Analogic developed PowerLink to eliminate the reliability and maintenance problems associated with traditional slip-ring gantries. This system allows for remote location of high-voltage power supplies off the spinning gantry, allowing for higher-speed scanning and full volumetric imaging in multislice applications.

The PowerLink gantry is available with an optional optical datalink with bidirectional data transfer. Important specifications include an integrated optical feedback control, 300 RPM capability, and 380-480 VAC without power distribution unit.

The component does not require U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance and is currently available.
