(Booth 6617) Nemoto Kyorindo of Tokyo will display new functionality for its Nemoto Dual Shot Alpha contrast injector system, including a new body-weight protocol.
The feature provides a means of setting injection protocols based on a patient's weight to provide consistent levels of iodine over the injection period. Distributed exclusively through GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., this feature was released in Japan in 2000 and the rest of Asia and Europe in 2008.
In addition, Nemoto will display as a work-in-progress an extravasation detection product with a very small sensor that can be used with any intravenous injection apparatus. The device has not been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and a launch date has not yet been determined.
