GE Healthcare has picked an unconventional route to unveil its next full-field digital cardiovascular system. The Waukesha, WI, company will be offering a preview of its Innova 3100 cardiovascular flat-panel imaging system on tonight’s episode of "ER," shown on GE subsidiary NBC.
Innova 3100 employs a 31-cm square Revolution detector and is optimized for both cardiac and angio procedures, according to GE. It will be formally introduced at next week’s American College of Cardiology meeting in New Orleans and will be released in mid-2004.
