Konica Minolta introduces new laser imagers, CR

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging launched a pair of new dry laser printers and a new CR system for the Indian market at the IRIA meeting.

The Regius 170 is a CR system with a twin-slot unit for separate input and output, which gives the system faster throughput, according to Konica Minolta. The system has a throughput of 90 14 x 17 film sheets per hour.

All cassette sizes are available with the unit, and it uses the same cassette for both standard and high-resolution modes. Konica Minolta is positioning the system as a stand-alone unit for image centers or for hospitals.

The two new laser imagers are the DryPro 752 and DryPro 771. The DryPro 752 features a resolution of 650 dots per inch (dpi) and a 40-micron resolution. The system accepts film sizes of 11 x 14, 14 x 14, and 14 x 17, two film magazines, and has a throughput of 120 14 x 17 sheets per hour. The unit is ideal for CR printing, according to Konica.

The DryPro 771 has a resolution of 320 dpi with a 78-micron resolution. It also accepts the three most common film sizes, accepts one film input magazine, and has a throughput of 110 14 x 17 sheets per hour, according to the company. The unit is well suited for printing from CT and MRI scanners, Konica Minolta said.
