Eastman Kodak Health Imaging has enhanced its CR line with an upgrade to its DirectView Total Quality Tool (TQT) software, and a new panoramic dental cassette for use with DirectView CR 850 and CR 950 systems.
Kodak's TQT is automated software that now supports the recently introduced DirectView CR 500 system and the firm's new panoramic dental cassette. The application provides image quality analysis and quality assurance reporting for all DirectView CR systems, according to the Rochester, NY-based company.
The product graphs both current and historical results upon completion of testing, which can help predict possible failure modes before image quality is adversely affected and a service call is needed, Kodak said. The TQT kit, available from the company's Health Imaging Group, includes a test phantom, user guide, and test reporting and analysis software, and supports 35 x 35-cm, 35 x 43-cm, 24 x 30-cm, 18 x 24-cm, and 15 x 30-cm cassette sizes.
The new 15 x 30-cm panoramic dental cassette allows healthcare facilities with the DirectView CR 850 and CR 950 systems to digitally capture panoramic dental exams. The cassette is available now, Kodak said.
