Orex starts shipping units with OsteoGram software

CR manufacturer Orex Computed Radiography of Auburn, MA, has begun shipping CR readers with the DICOM version of OsteoGram bone densitometry software from CompuMed of Los Angeles.

The product integration consists of an OsteoGram cassette that is inserted into the Orex CR reader, which automatically launches the application. A bone mineral density (BMD) report is then generated by the system, said CompuMed.

Orex and CompuMed announced the collaboration between the companies in November 2003.
