Siemens Healthcare's angiography system has been selected by a U.K. lung and heart center, according to the Malvern, PA-based company.
Siemens' Axiom Artis dFC angiography system, a Niobe magnetic guidance system with Navigant, and an Odyssey network system from Stereotaxis have been installed at Royal Brompton Hospital's magnetic navigation catheter lab. The new lab will allow the hospital to perform interventional cardiology, including radiofrequency ablation.
The system also features Siemens' syngo DynaCT cardiac workstation, which allows clinicians to take 3D cross-sectional reconstructions of the beating heart to aid electrophysiology. The lab has also been equipped with Siemens' Sensis XP hemo and EP64 applications that provide recording capabilities for both hemodynamics and electrophysiology, Siemens said.
