Cook opens new Illinois plant

Interventional technology firm Cook Medical has opened a new plant in Canton, IL, the company announced.

Cook Canton will operate at the former International Harvester plant. The Bloomington, IN-based firm plans to invest more than $5 million in the 45,000-sq-ft facility in the fall of 2009.

The company plans to hire 50 to 75 employees once the building is complete, increasing hiring to approximately 300 jobs over the next few years, Cook said.
