Compact, high-resolution PET scanner makes RSNA debut.

Scans can be conducted in ten minutes, and the system features a 1.5mm intrinsic spatial resolution, which makes the product ideal for imaging small body parts such as the breast, head, hand, or foot, according to the company.
The PEM Flex PET scanner, currently available in the U.S., is receiving interest on the part of radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, surgeons, and oncologists interested in using PET to evaluate patients with suspected or known breast cancer, Naviscan said.
