Medical imaging firm Analogic has signed an agreement to acquire a supplier of gradient amplifiers for MRI, the Peabody, MA, company reported.
Under terms of the deal, Analogic will buy Copley Controls of Canton, MA, for $68.7 million in cash and up to an additional $1.8 million to reimburse Copley shareholders for tax consequences of the agreement.
Copley will become a subsidiary of Analogic. The purchase is expected to close in early April 2008, according to Analogic.
