Contrast injector technology firm Medrad has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a wireless MR infusion system, the Warrendale, PA, company announced.
Continuum MR Infusion System allows users to control a patient's medication infusion during MRI procedures from both inside and outside the scan room. If changes to the flow rate, bolus, or beginning and end of the infusion need to be made, users can make them with a wireless remote display without interrupting the scan. Continuum uses Medrad's Certo MR wireless network, according to the company.
