InSightec brings Exablate Neuro to Pa.

MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) developer InSightec has delivered its Exablate Neuro device to Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

The system was used to perform the first high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment for essential tremor in Pennsylvania, according to the institution. A 61-year-old man who experienced bilateral essential tremor for approximately 10 years is now tremor-free two weeks after the procedure, Pennsylvania Hospital said.
