Copenhagen, Denmark-based imaging technology developer TracInnovations and Siemens Healthineers have inked a deal to deploy TracInnovations’ Tracoline brain MRI motion correction software on Siemens’ Magnetom systems.
Tracoline utilizes an in-bore motion tracking camera to monitor patient head movement during brain MRI scans and provides real-time correction information. The software obviates the use of physical markers to track motion and in some cases may reduce the need for sedation of patients to reduce unintentional motion, the vendor said.
The deployment is via Siemens Healthineers’ Access-I interface, an open innovation interface for third-party applications, TracInnovations noted.
