Aclarion, an AI developer focusing on chronic low back pain, is expanding access to its Nociscan SaaS platform across New York and New Jersey, a move which builds on previously established Nociscan sites with RadNet affiliates in both states.
This expansion is driven by the increased availability of MR spectroscopy (MRS) and improved remote operations capabilities within RadNet to meet the growing demand for Nociscan, Aclarion said.
Nociscan uses MRS data to noninvasively help physicians distinguish between painful and nonpainful discs in the lumbar spine. It quantifies chemical biomarkers that are tied to disc pain.
In New York, Lenox Hill Radiology (LHR) operates 79 outpatient imaging centers in the metropolitan area and throughout New York state. LHR Park Avenue, a flagship site, initially adopted Nociscan to provide access to leading spine physicians in private practice and from globally recognized organizations such as Weill Cornell.
In New Jersey, New Jersey Imaging Network (NJIN) has 33 locations, including NJIN-Union, which was the first site in that state to adopt Nociscan to support both local physicians and out-of-market referrals through the convenience of Newark Liberty International Airport and Teterboro Airport, Aclarion said.
