GE HealthCare (GEHC) and imaging services provider RadNet have launched a collaboration to further the innovation, commercialization, and adoption of AI in imaging.
Initially, GEHC will integrate RadNet’s DeepHealth SmartMammo AI-powered SaaS platform into its Senographe Pristina mammography systems. SmartMammo is designed to improve workflow efficiency in high-volume breast cancer screening programs by prioritizing cases based on suspicion level.
SmartMammo includes a cloud-native enterprise image viewer with PACS functionality that enables fast image loading and real-time data rendering of multimodality images from any workstation and location, reporting tools to streamline the workflow, and a suite of clinical AI detection tools for automatic lesion localization and degree of suspicion. In addition, the cloud-native architecture of SmartMammo’s platform simplifies support and maintenance, GEHC noted.
Under the agreement, the companies intend to explore areas of further collaboration in other modalities and clinical domains, GEHC said.
