ScanLabMR launches signal-to-noise ratio calculator

MRI simulation software developer ScanLabMR has launched a signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio calculator that it hopes will give MRI technologists, radiologists, and educators a reliable way to "understand and optimize" image quality.

The tool calculates "true SNR outcome" based on the user's prescribed slices, creating quantitative SNR values that account for "all parameter adjustments and physical factors present within the MRI environment," the company said. It is free to all current ScanLabMR software users, ScanLabMR noted.
